*Hi-five's Ghapy*. Spot on, a 6 month old tank is barely mature, if that had been working for 6+ years you'd be on to something. Goldfish at very warm temperatures over 75F will suffer long term effects and shortened lifespan, not to mention make a hell of a lot more mess than if they were at cooler temperatures as their metabolism is faster when they're warm.

Also, take that Puffer back to the store - this beast is NOT a community fish and will continue to attack, and potentially kill, its other tank mates. It needs to be in a species tank only and will get to a very chunky 6". It is also NOT a freshwater fish - it needs brackish/marine conditions - of which your other fish will not tolerate, Plecos in particular are intolerant of salt. It will continue to attack the other fish.

I would also recommend IDing what species of Pleco you have, there are over 800 species with a vast range of needs. All suckermouth fish may well turn around and suck on a Goldfish's slime coat - which can seriously damage a Goldfish. I would never recommend suckermouth fish with Goldfish.

Currently stocked with-
4 zebra danios
3 leopard danios
1 red cap oranda
1 black moor
1 pleco
1 green spotted puffer fish

I got the puffer fish today and after i added it in about 10 mins it started attacking my black moor. It has torn fins now. Its stomach was starting to get black ( I know that means they are stressed) so i gave it some bloodworms to calm it down. It has stopped picking on the moor. Was it attacking the moor because it was stressed or doesnt it like moors?

I am currently running a cascade 200 and 300 on the tank . the 200 pumps 185 gph and the 300 pumps 300gph.

I do a 20% water change every 2 weeks.

Dont tell me that goldfish cant live in warm water because i have had them in it for 6 months.Oh and I will be upgrading to atleast a 80 gallon by January so dont stress bout the goldfish, puffer, and plecs size.

Any advice, comments also welcome!

Puffers are aggressive and territorial and should be kept in species tanks. Be very careful with him and remove him if he causes any problems.

20% every 2 weeks is great, every week would be even better. Remember - no matter how many pumps and filters you have, these do no replace tank maintenance, so you should be vacuuming gravel while you do the water changes.

I won't tell you that goldfish can't live in warm water and frankly they'll do fine, but your own reasoning is faulty just because it's worked for 6 months doesn't mean it's the best thing - it's only 6 months. Considering these fish can live 20 years, perhaps there are long term affects that you are not considering. When people give advice you might want to at least look into it before just denying it entirely - ignorance is bliss but knowledge is still better.
