Is this fair or should I complain?

i got a 85 in math b and a 73 in the regents and the prinicipal of the math department isnt allowing me to take pre-cal, ap stat, or pre-cal honors. i know people that got lower than me on the math b regents and still got pre-cal. what do i do? i don't want to take discrete math and i want pre-cal so bad.
 
What was your previous math class? That could also be your problem. for me i need to take algebra II/Trig or Trig to get into pre-cal. I am currently taking pre-cal honors passing my previous class with a B. If they do not give a fair reason you should complain. Contact me and i can help you if it is a big problem.
