Is this expected from a sister in-law?

My boyfriends sister in law calls him all the time and today she just stopped by to show him her new jeep. My boyfriend works for his brother and says the only way he can get through to him is by talking to his SIL. I don't think its normal. I could understand him talking business with her but not other personal issues. I asked him what he would do if I called his brother all the time like that and he said he would not put up with it and that it would be different anyway because his sister in-law has always been like that and I am being crazy jealous. I really would appreciate some advise on this matter. Thank you.

To me it isn't about trust, its about respect and I am not calling her husband and talking about my problems with him so I would expect she not do it to mine.

Why does this bother you? 1. SHE IS MARRIED TO HIS BROTHER!! 2. Do you seriously think there is something going on there? 3. You cannot keep his family out of his life, or you will be out of his life.
 
You shouldn't be jealous of him being friends with his SIL. It sounds normal to me. In return though, you should be friends with whomever you want without him being jealous.
