Is this environment okay for an outdoor bunny?

My family is planning on getting 2 bunnies and we plan on keeping them outside (they smell). But im pretty worried because ive read that they can get heat strokes. Our backyard has a patio (with LOTS of Shade), and a garden. Of course we'll let them in the house once in awhile but they'll be outside 80% of the time. So is this a safe environment for them to live in? An also ive never seen a raccoon in my backyard, the only thing ive seen that might be harmful is Birds and a neighbors cat. Also i live in Cali (bay area) so it gets pretty hot, maybe 70-90 degrees, but will keeping it in the shade, giving it lots of cool water, ect. be enough to protect the bunnies from the heat?

First of all, bunnies HATE the heat, the will be miserable. Secondly- Bunnies do not smell. I have two of them and they are litterbox trained. And also bunnies are very social animals and should be kept in indoor homes only. Google this website ; House Rabbit Society. Please do not get the bunnies if they are going to be left outside in a cage. It's not fair to them and someone else can give them a much better home. An indoor home.

just make sure to get a short-haired bunny. no angora's or lionheads or anything like that. a shorthair bunny will handle the heat a ton better. you could also get a small fan and attach it to the cage or throw in a frozen water bottle on really hot days. other than that, it sounds fine to me! my bunnies handle it fine....
