is this discrimination honestly?

Okay, I live near dearborn, michigan and if people don't know, its a highly overpopulated arab community, and I have applied for numerous jobs in that area and, they always ask if I speak arabic, and I don't , so they don't hire me, most of them say, I. Have to speak arabic, is this right I mean, I'm not in the middleast I'm in michigan. Is this considered dicrimination?? Thanks
