Is this considered discrimination?

I work at a grocery store that requires all females to wear smocks, but says men are not allowed to because they, and I quote, 'look faggy'. The men who work here are allowed to wear t shirts and ball caps, even when they're cashiering, but women who wear nice blouses which are not low cut at all (or wear collared shirts) are yelled at for not wearing their smocks. It's 104 degrees right now and we're right next to the doors, which are constantly opening with new customers and bringing in waves of heat, but we are not allowed to even tie the smocks around our waists even though they soak us in sweat. Is this not workplace discrimination?
