today i was riding my 1998 ktm 65sx and it had 93 octane gas in it with a 40:1 gas to oil ratio because its a 2 stroke. i went to get gas for it but i forgot i needed 93 octane gas and i got 87 instead but still put 40:1 ratio. when i went to ride it after i filled it up it shut off like it was flooded and it started to pour gas out of the overflow line on the carb. i went and bought octane booster to put in the gas and it worked perfect after that. do you think the float stuck because it wasnt the right octane because it only happened when i put the 87 in it?
