Is this common at Christian Camp or not?

Just curious...my daughter has a friend in her class this year and they were asked to write about their happiest day. Her friend wrote about accepting Jesus into her life, but the story of how she did it got me. She wrote about being at Christian Camp this summer and the camp leader asked for all those who have NOT accepted Jesus into their lives to go downstairs into the basement to pray while the others stayed upstairs. That's when she realized she needed to accept Jesus into her life. Is this common to separate kids like this at camp? Didn't that kind of force her into a decision so she wouldn't be sent back to the basement? It just struck me as odd...but I was not raised in a traditional Christian environment so maybe I'm out of the loop. Just wondered what you think about this and if this is a normal thing at camp. Thanks!
kwazywabbott...I didn't send her, she's not my daughter. She's my daughter's friend from school.
For the third time...I DIDN'T SEND MY DAUGHTER...it is a friend of hers. Could you actually read the question before assuming I'm talking about my own child!
