Is this christmas gift going to get the point across?

I just finished my first semester of college, and I met a girl. I was immediately smitten with her but I'm only in the friend zone. She and I go back and forward from best of friends to more than friends over and over again... For Christmas I made her a book with all the letters of the alphabet in it, and each of the letters stands for a different inside joke, and I painted a picture on each page, and tied it up with twine to be a book. Do you think this present will be special? I really want her to know how much I care for her
