Is this chicken still okay to cook?

I bought raw chicken tenders a couple of days ago with an expiration of July 13....I opened the package, and seperate the strips into three different ziploc containers (I was planning to use the next day). That was two days ago (almost three)...will they be okay to cook tomorrow? I think it would be fine, but I wasn't sure if the fact that they had been unwrapped and repackaged would make them expire quicker?? I'm just so sketchy when it comes to unwrapping and rewrapping meat....

Repackaged shouldn't make them expire quicker as long as they were still cold and not out long enough to lose refrigeration temperature

Was the meat frozen or refrigerated? And, did you seal them well? If it's been in the refrigerator I always feel like I need to use it up quicker. You should be fine, though. When I bring meat home from the store, I usually divide it into portions then wrap each portion in plastic wrap first then put the wrapped piece or pieces in a ziploc bag. By doing this, not only does it keep the meat fresher, but it also keeps things from getting in the meat and juices from the meat from seeping out. Usually if I'm going to eat it within the next 2 days I will refrigerate it but if not I'll freeze it so I can just take out what I need.
I really do think you'll be fine, though, as long as you use it up within the next couple of days. Just make sure to cook the chicken thoroughly.

Good luck, and really, I think you'll be ok.

If there's a pool of reddish liquid, or there is a smell, or discoloration, or the meat is slimy, throw it out please.
