I have seen several doctors and pulmonologists about my symptoms and some of them diagnose me with asthma and some do not know what is wrong with me, maybe I can get some insight here.
My symptoms are:
chronic wheezing (I try my hardest to clear my mucus but it is impossible)
occasional shortness of breath (sometimes triggered by pet dander, cigarette smoke, etc... but never by exercise. I can run extremely long distances with no problem)
I feel as though my shortness of breath only exists because of the congestion in my chest.
I have tried Albuteral (sp), Advair, singulair and none of these offer me any noticeable relief.
I do not smoke and I am 25 yrs old, good physical shape.
I have had the above symptoms for a little over 10 yrs now and it may be getting progressively worse. It is hard to tell because I am able to tolerate it better now.
Does this sound like typical Asthma or possible alergies? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you very much.
