75 Percent of Oklahoma High School Students Can't Name the First President of the U.S.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Only one in four Oklahoma public high school students can name the first President of the United States, according to a survey released today.

A thousand students were given 10 questions drawn from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services item bank. Candidates for U.S. citizenship must answer six questions correctly in order to become citizens.

Juneteenthism teaches that the Founders, including George Washington were slave-owners but little else about them.
 
I have never heard of Juneteenthism but I have heard of Juneteenth which celebrates the last slaves freed in this country months AFTER the Emancipation by President Lincoln. Maybe you should study American History yourself. George Washington was a slaveowner and also did not free the slaves on his death as many slave owners would do who had affection for their slaves (much like dog owners for their pets). Read about Thomas Jefferson, much admired and very intelligent , who owned slaves and had children by one, Sally Hemmings.

Covering up the truth in the study of a nation's history helps no one. It is really interesting to dig (as in dirt) and find out facts about the human condition. It shows strength and purpose and the character of those involved.
