I applied for an assistant buyer position at shall I say a big chain fashion store (don't want to give names). I've been an assistant manager for several years in one of their stores. Given that I've had several years experience in retail especially in this company, that's more than the experience that a 22 year old fresh out of university, know nothing about the company compared to me, only has qualifications rather than experience compared to me, they say that they want someone fresh out of uni or college. They might as well say I need someone younger at the interview. I'm much older than the people fresh out of college and uni but I have more experience in this store than them.
