Is this a symptom of acid reflex

Occasionally for no real reason violently throwing up? I have a friend who had an ulcer and is diagnosed with acid reflex but usually stays right on the bland diet but still sometimes they get real sick. They have been tested by endoscopy several times and nothing really shows up but then there's these bouts of throwing up and not being able to eat or eating very light for a few days. If anyone has this or knows about, please post, thank you.

Is this person on any medications? If there is an ulcer and reflux this can cause bouts of gastritis so that could cause the nausea and vomiting. The best advice would have to come from the doctor though !!!!
