i suffer from regular headaches. But recently the past two weeks i keep waking and seeing things...Last night i went to bed at 11pm, next thing i knew it was 2.30am and i was the other side of the room staring at my wall which i thought was covered with snakes slithering down it!!...my heart was pounding, and i was gasping in fear, 5 mins later i was back in bed, and obviously drifted off with no probs....how weird!! :(

I've had these before, it's a form of sleepwalking - I usually get them when I'm going through a period of stress, my usual one is that I have to get out of the room but I can't find the door or i'm convinced the door is locked and I start screaming and shouting and as soon as I get the door open i'm fine and then get back into bed and go to sleep, but I always remember it clear as day the next morning, it's bizzare.

You need to check if there is anything worrying you and if there is you need to try and resolve it otherwise it could keep happening. If you aren't stressed and it keeps happened I would go and see your GP so he can send you to a sleep clinic.

No. Night Terrors are when one is in a sound sleep and suddenly - sits up in bed screaming. Most of the time the person doesn't remember doing this. I suffer from Night Terrors, and have woken myself up from my screaming - deeply frightened and shaking but have no idea why. I do know that I'm trying to get away from something - but don't know what.

It sounds to me like you are sleep walking. You probably also talk in your sleep.

If this continues, consult your doctor.

Sounds like a nightmare to be honest .... unless that lack of reality invades your daytime space, I would not worry. Your question was certainly lucid enough!

sounds like it could be my 6 year old has them . i was told he will grow out of them. if it keeps happening go and see your doc.

Hi,there are many things which could cause this you could of been dreaming, you could of been half asleep, you might of been drunk

hope this helps ollie

Sounds like a night terror, my fiance often wakes up screaming or jumping around the room and thinks there are people or animals in the room.
