Is this a mental or a physical problem? (trouble eating)

I was diagnosed with IBS about 2 years ago. I've always been a picky eater, but one of my problems now is that my stomach feels hungry but my mouth refuses to eat. My stomach rumbles and demands food, but it's like I just don't "want" anything. Most foods sound and smell disgusting to me sometimes. I can put it in my mouth and chew but I kind of gag and have to really force it down.

I've been to a lot of specialists, they even shoved a camera down my throat, no real evidence why. I'm starting to wonder if this could be a mental problem rather than a physical problem as I've been trying to treat it. I'm NOT anorexic or bulimic or anything like that...I've been overweight most of my life and I don't really care. But lately I've been losing a lot of weight....

Anyone have any thoughts on that or ever feel the same way?
