I just got an MA audio 10" 600 Watt sub from a friend(it's in a cylinder enclosure... about 2'x10"diam) and I want to put it in my '00 Altima, but I need an amp to power it. I'm planning on getting a Legacy LA480 off of http://store.papasbargains.com because it's very affordable and matches up wattage/ohm-wise. My plan is to bridge the amp(it's bridgeable) so that it runs 600W on one channel, then run it to the sub. I'm very inexperienced with car audio, but does this sound reasonable? I just don't want to make a mistake and buy a pointless component. Any other suggestions for amps in this price range would be appreciated
