I am trying to gain muscle. I am a 16 year old guy, average body (not fat but not skinny), and weigh about 150lbs. I want to build abs, chest, and arms. I read that wat u eat is very important for gaining muscle so this is the meal I prepared for my preworkout meal:

Two slices of wheat bread
1 slice of cheese
1 slice of bologna
1 tbsp of pineapple preserves (just for taste)
for my drink
1 cup of milk
2 tbsp of chocolate syrup

ALL ADDED UP GIVE ME A TOTAL OF: 550 calories, 205 calories of fat, 22.5g of fat, 71g of carbs, 21g of protein.

is this a good pre work out meal??? if not how should I improve it??
i KNOW THE CHOC SYRUP SUKS BUT AS FOR NOW I DONT HAVE PROTEIN POWEDERS. IM GONNA BUY SOME NEXT WEEK.

It sounds all right, but I'd be careful about the fiber in that sandwich. If you're doing cardio like running, slow-releasing carbs could make you feel sick. Maybe have an open-faced sandwich with just one slice?
