Dear (magazine name)

I'm a 16 year old student who was hoping to get work experience this the summer. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get anything for the month I was at home. I realise how important work experience is for universities, and since my last year begins in September, I’m eager to find something.

So I was wondering whether you hired people for Saturday jobs? Where I work, and what I would do really doesn't bother me, I'm up for anything, and I’m simply looking for an experience. I think I’d be able to work for a maximum 3 months (about 12 Saturdays) until my last year of school requires my full attention.

Or I could voluntarily write articles, or, better yet, movie reviews for you. I hope to study Film and possibly Journalism at university, so that would be a great experience.

I’m British, so writing in English is not a problem, [I wrote that because I ldon't live in the UK, but it's an english magazine]and at school, I do Advanced English and write for the newly created paper, Breaktime, so I wouldn’t be completely terrible. If you’re interested at all, I could write a sample review?

Since I enjoy writing, and since I’m determined to get experience, I’m willing to do it all voluntarily.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you
