I chose to write an essay on Animal Farm and how Pure Animalism, as described by Old Major, cannot work under any circumstances
Can you just go over it and tell me if it is good, are there any errors, is it engaging,
Is the opening sentence capturing, and is the Thesis good?
Also, what would be a good title for this essay
Communism has proven to be the downfall of many governments and societies throughout history and has been the demise of many similar social-structures that are based on its ideals. Communism is a social-system in which all property is publicly owned and all people work for the common-good. All people are equal so one class does not have the ability to exploit another. The ideals of communism are accurately and effectively represented in George Orwell’s novel, Animal Farm but are expressed through the name “Pure Animalism.” This social-structure is the creation of the oldest and wisest pig on Manor Farm, Old Major and is structured around the fundamental idea of all animals being equal. It also focuses on animals not behaving like humans in any way and not having any contact with them. It is because of these fundamentals of Pure Animalism that this is system is flawed and cannot thrive in a long-term ordeal. There are many flaws in this system that can be and will be exploited by animals and humans alike. So through a thorough analysis of this novel it is evident that the system of Pure Animalism cannot thrive in any situation because there is no contact with humans so there is no way to trade or make a profit and without a profit the farm cannot be successful. Also, due to the fact that there is no contact with humans the overpopulation on the farm will lead to famine and lastly and it is not possible to have everyone equal due to the human and animal nature of greed and ambition.
