Astra Williams seems like your typical teen. She goes to a high school packed with drama, she has an evil stepmother who she is sure is out to ruin her life, and her favorite subject never was, is, or will be math. Astra seems normal but she’s not.
In truth, Astra is a goddess, daughter of Leto, goddess of dark nights, and Zeus, king of the gods. On her third birthday, following her elder sister’s footsteps, she climbed on her father’s lap and demanded six wishes.
1. she became the goddess of stars( taking which was the place of Astraea leaving her as only the goddess of justice)
2. She got a silver bow like her elder siblings (Artemis+ Apollo)
3. She will never be forced to do anything
4. She will be given stags to lead her chariot when she hunts with her sister, Artemis
5. She will be given a flying chariot to ride alongside her brother, Apollo
6. That she will be able to spend her childhood on earth alongside humans.
Her life as a mortal is going well and she doesn’t miss home at all until her freshman English class moves onto a new unit: Greek mythology. As soon as her teacher says the five words, “There are twelve Olympian gods,” she’s gone. But on returning to Mount Olympus, Astra finds that the gods are getting ready for the first godly Olympics in two thousand years. Except this isn’t your average athletic tournament, it’s a battle to win a seat as the next Olympian god.
The Olympics are the only chance Astra has got to prove her godly status but securing the trophy might be ungodly challenge considering that she has Hera to sabotage her, evil harpies disguised as competition, and arrogant demigods taunting her at every turn. But Astra is going to prove to them that you never mess with a daughter of Zeus. After all, she is a goddess….isn’t she?
