is this a good golf swing to do?

the past 3 years as i get to my backswing i stop for a second and then come back down.. but last saturday i was swinging up to the top and not stopping so i could have more club head speed once i hit the ball and it gave me at least 20+metres and more accuracy but i kept pulling all my irons doing that. can any one help me or give me a few 'do's or dont's with doing the swing please
