Is this a good gaming system? Amd phenom 965 black edition 3.4 ghz, dual 4870x2

xfire, 8gb corsair 1600mhz.? I have just ordered it so no going back lol, just wanted to know peoples thoughts on this system for gaming
 
Should be. The 4870 XFire is a good card. From a GTA IV benchmark I saw, that's the highest in ATI brand, but the NVIDIA had a higher benchmark on the "SLI" series. I think GTX+
 
its really good just not a supporter of amd the benchmark compared to intel is way low, but your graphic card is great and ram is more than enough just make sure you get a 64 bit Operating System or else your ram basically will be ueless because 32 bit OS does not read more than 3.5 gb.
 
hell ya. thats a bad ace system!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMD is the way to go with gaming, especially the phenom quad core black edition!! you can overclock that so high. the graphics is also top notch!! and the Ram is awsome!!!
 
that will absolutely rape any game currently out and for the next atleast 4 years, on a 24" monitor that is.

I believe this is an amazing configuration and I am sure it would be able to play any gam in market for now and in future of 3 to 4 years.

Hope you you have expandablity options,another suggestion ensure you go for 64 bit OS if choosing Windows and getting crossair mem is good as you can overclock the same if it requires in future.

But overall amazing config to have hope i can get this system for myself one day:) lol
