Is this a good financial aid appeal letter?

To Whom It May Concern:
I am requesting an appeal for a denial of financial aid. I am currently being denied financial aid because I received an incomplete in HRM 120 W1 (Exploring the Hospitality Industry) in the spring of 2001. In this online class, I had an excellent grade and I got ahead of schedule in the class. When the final rolled around, I got the dates confused and neglected to recheck the date of the final. Any attempt to contact the professor when I realized I missed the final (7 to 10 days later) did not get a response. I take full responsibility for my error and now I record important dates for all of my classes on a desk calendar so I will not encounter this problem again. My concrete plan is to retake this class the next time it is offered in order to clear up this inferior mark on my record.
I received an F in Thea 106 01 (Theatre Practicum) in the fall of 2005. This class involves working with other people on building sets and making costumes for stage productions at the college. At the time, I had trouble being in social situations; at certain times, I could feel the onset of panic attack symptoms, which worried me. Thus, it made it difficult for me to attend meetings for this class. Because of this class and the resulting “F,” I sought more information and medical attention and have been diagnosed with a social anxiety problem, for which I now take medication. This assuredly helps me when interacting socially. I will be retaking this class in the spring so that I can get a better grade in it to negate the previous mark.
My major is biology and I have a minor in Criminal Justice. I plan to one day work with forensics for the justice system. I have a great interest in the subject of forensics and I would like a career that allows me to help people.
I have made a few marked mistakes while seeking education, but I have learned how to cope properly (confirming dates and taking control of my social anxiety). I am fully committed to my education and have worked exceedingly hard this semester to make sure that I stay on track and produce works that merit high marks so that I can raise my GPA. I currently have three A’s and a B in my classes (material for my fifth class has not yet been graded as of today). I would wholly appreciate reconsideration in this matter. I cannot attend school without the help of financial aid. If my financial aid is reinstated, I can assure you that I will continue to work hard and receive exemplary grades so that I can complete my degree in a timely fashion.
Thank you for your time and your consideration.
Sincerely,
XXX

That sounds good to me.Explains the situation in a lot of detail. You're also making strides in improving your grades and over all participation and activity levels.Possible transcripts of your grades would helpful i would imagine too.Maybe a letter from the school as well?
Maybe I can ask you a question. This is my first semester.I am on a pell grant.I don't know what kind of grant you are on,but I am currently passing all my classes except math, due to dyscalculias.I'm pretty sure I failed for the semester and I too have a stress disorder along with OCD.That's not really at the forefront at the moment, but since you are writing an appeal.I'm wondering are you appealing a fafsa pell grant? Also.Would they take away mine?My first semester.one class failing thus far.I've already gotten the refund check and cashed it.So i don't think they could take that.Sorry.I'm asking you a question within your question.I was just wondering.
