I heard they were going to be purchased again and may not continue manufacture them anymore or discontinue certain models. Main concern is I will purchase one and the warranty will not be able to cover it.
Jeep is owned by Chrysler which is owned by Cerberus Capital and not Fiat as people think.The models I have heard that will be cut are the Commander and Patriot with possibility of the Liberty.But there are rumors of a Jeep pickup to replace the Dodge Dakota.The Jeep warranties are backed by the US Treasury if the company should go out of business.
from what i understand. the warranties are covered by the goverment. i know sounds insane. thats what i thought cuz i have lifetime oil changes and lifetime warranty on my drive train. This is just what i heard on the colbert report the other night. i have no idea to the truth and he wasnt making a joke about the warranties. so think u should be fine.
