I have a 1997 Honda Passport......and have recently discovered a problem:
1) Passport seems to go into overdrive or become "stuck" in a higher gear and will not shift out of it.
2) Upon braking, right before I come to a complete stop, there is a "jerking" motion.
3) When stopped, Passport feels as if it wants to jump forward upon release of the brake....I have to firmly press brake to keep it in the stop position.
4) Upon putting Passport in Park, engine revs to over 2000 rpms and stays here until it is turned off.
5) I have noticed a leak under the Passport right under passenger side mud flap.
I had a mechanic look it over last week and he replaced the Idle Air Control Valve and this seems to not have done anything to solve the problem.
Does anyone have any insight as to what the problem may be?
