Take the car to a mechanic to have it checked out. Most mechanics charge 1 Hour labor to look over the car. Cheep insurance when hundreds or thousands of dollars are a stake. Plus you can begin a relationship with a mechanic, and since you are buying a used car you will need a mechanic sometime.
