If I put a lit candle in front of a mirror would I get twice as much light from it. Even if the candle is across the room opposite from the mirror?

the mirror reflects everything not just the light. the candle is emitting the same because the room ssems bigger. if that makes sense?

ok it makes sense in my head..

not with one mirror no
but if you had a few mirrors ans placed them at the correct points so they All catch the light from each other you will emmit more light

Yes. You'd get the light the candle emits and the returning light the mirror reflects.

No, the same amount of light. The mirror on reflects existing light, it doesn't make a copy of it. It may appear that it makes more light, but that is just reflected light rays and not actually more light...

the mirror reflects the light. so you are not getting more light
just reflecting the already existing light.
so it may appear brighter, but there's still only the same amount of light present

Yes, I have a night light in the bathroom in the shaving socket and it has mirror on both sides of it and that room is much brighter than in a room without mirrors.
