...signs of the baby's sex? I always hear people say that if you are carrying high, the baby is probably a boy, and if you're carrying low, it's probably a girl (maybe the other way around, but I think I got it right). I've also heard that most women get sicker when pregnant with girls than with boys. Is there any truth to these, or are they just pregnancy myths? What have your experiences been? Thanks :)

No. If there were any truth in those wives tales, we'd all know the sex of our babies before they are born, and we don't.

The one about being sicker with girls is true. I had a boy my first time and was perfectly fine. With this little girl I lost so much weight from being sick and my doctor said that girls produce more hormones which makes moms sicker and she had to put me on a really good drug to keep it under control. As far as the carrying high or low I don't put much faith in. I am carrying high with my girl and carried high with my boy as well. I think it just depends on your bodies frame

Nope, Old Wives Tales.

I'm carrying low, and had EXTREME morning sickness and I am having a boy.

Well in my experience it was opposite!

If a woman's carrying low, it's a boy; if she's carrying high, it's a girl.
False. If a woman's carrying high, this may be her first pregnancy or her body's in good shape. Stomach muscles have a tendency to become more elastic with each pregnancy, so a belly that's seen more than one pregnancy may hang a little low.
