Almost everyone I know raves about how good sushi is, but I don't even think they like fish, much less raw fish. Is there such a thing as sushi that isn't raw? I'd try it but don't think I could stomach it or even think about trying to stomach it if it was raw. Does cooked sushi have another name or something?

yes i love sushi. There is cooked sushi. Its called Nigiri Sushi. Some type of sushi rolls are made with cooked crab and vegetables and some types of fish. There are also sushi roles that are fried which are so good. Give it a try, i never liked sushi but i got into it by eating it alot. Just remember, never eat sushi if they don't specialize in sushi, like stores like target or a Chinese restaurant. Go to a nice restaurant where they specialize in it. It might be expensive but its great quality and tastes great. Go try it =)

Most of the rolls that people like have cooked crab or shrimp in them. Personally, I prefer raw fish to cooked fish - it doesn't smell or taste fishy at all! ... try tuna. That's very mild, and is what most people start with

Allot of the fish is cooked. It's mostly rice when you come right down to it. Give it a shot.

Unagi is cooked eel with teriyaki sauce. It is awesome. But, don't dismiss raw fish "nigiri sushi" or "sashimi" until you try it.
Expand your culinary horizon.
