Occasionally, i get sharp pains in the left part of my chest, like behind my ribcage. they're not often, but when they come, they're very sharp and painful. when it's hurting and i move, it hurts worse or if i breathe too deeply. it pretty much feels like there's a needle in whatever part of my body that's hurting(i'm not sure exactly what it is, just about halfway down my ribcage and back.) anyway, it just feels like there's a needle there, so when i move or breathe too deeply, it makes the "needle" poke me more. i've had this problem for as long as i can remember, but it only happens like once every few months. i never really worried about it because it'd always go away, but recently in the same place, there's been a lot of pressure in the same spot. it feels sorta like something's pushing against it, not really poking now, just pushing it, and making it tight feeling.Should i be worried? i've never mentioned this problem to my doctor, because like i said it normally just goes away, but now the pressure's been there for about two or three days nonstop. i've never been in any kind of wreck or fallen hard or anything like that, so that's virtually no chance of it being a broken rib or anything like that. i'm hoping this is just a normal pain that'll go away soon. am i right?
