Is there something that can fix a streak on my car windshield?

I heard there was something you can use on your windshied if it gets streaked from the wipers. These are deep streaks that won't come off with windex. Do you know of a product, or do I have to take the car to a body shop?
 
Ajax powdered cleaner...or any powered cleaner...they make a specail product just for that...was a finer grit then a powdered cleaner but a lot more money.... is the windsheild sand blasted anyway? worth a try...i have done it...
