it depends what kind of comic. it's very easy to make an american comic into a movie ( spiderman,batman, superman, etc.), and sometimes it even makes it better. however, the case is completely different for manga. movies(live action) that are based on manga are,w/o exception, horrible.
so, like i said, it depends on what kind of comic.
