Is there really much difference between 6gb and 8gb ram for gaming and everyday apps?

I usually just browse and game some heavy games like Crysis Warhead (The computer will have an ATI Radeon HD 5870 and AMD Phenom II X6 1090T). The OS in 64 bit Win 7.
