Is there racial equality in America ?

oh please if you work hard, then you can reach your goal. Its so much easier to get a scholarship as a minority than as white. It becomes a problem only when your personal view of "success" is skewed. Ie a white kid would be perfectly content getting an engineering degree and making a comfortable living, while a black kick wants diamond studded grill for himself, his baby mamas, his main bitch, his dawgs, his cats and 22s on his toaster. At that point working hard might simply not cut it

lol no of course they didnt get a free ride for being black (unless you count NCAA). But a black student with 2.8 GPA has about as much of a chance at a scholarship (if not more) as a 3.8 white student. Everyone is so focused on being politically correct and meeting some sort of imaginary "diversity quota" that a lot of the time less deserving students get picked simply because they belong to a minority

My boss is black. His boss is black. His boss is a brazilian immigrant who barely speaks English.

My boss doesn't have a degree.

I have a degree and make $45,000 less a year with only 3 years less experience.

Get the fuck out of here with white privilege you gotta be fucking kidding me.

There is no doubt that there is definitely some really durab shit favoring african americans...but the poll asks about equality, and if you think as a group blacks are treated as well as whites throughout america, you either have white guilt, are racist, or are insanely fucking stupid.

Edit: To clarify, white guilt of knowing you have things better, so you become defensive

Racial equality yes.

Corporate interests vested in the people running government shit on all of us citizens in pursuit of greater and greater profits.

We are all second class citizens as long as the corporation is allowed to buy the future without the consent of the workers.
