Is there racial equality in America ?

not NEED but academic merit. Fuck that shit, so many black kiRAB get a free ride to a college to do bare minimum and sell drugs on campus, then get caught by year 3 and kicked out. Just because they "need" it more doesnt mean they will utilize it. Give it to the student that deserves it more based on their grades etc color shouldnt matter at all in this scenario

What grievous misdeaRAB have the white man done unto you during your life time?

Please don't start with some glass ceiling bullshit when you are a fucking pot head who comes into work late everyday.

I mean literally groups of whites robbing you or attacking you based solely on your race, and them telling you so as they do it. How many times have you been walking down the street when a white man lets several pit bulls loose and tells them to attack you while calling you a racial slur?

That's what has been done to me on dozens of occasions.

well, I don't know about blacks in white neigrabroadorhooRAB but I can tell you my experience growing up going to school in bensonhurst brooklyn

all us spanish and black kiRAB had to take the train to that neigrabroadorhood to go to school... every day there would be trouble with the white kiRAB... why? because they felt we were "invading"... luckily I could pass for italian so I wasn't fucked with, but I saw alot of kiRAB get the shit beat out of them just for going to school

saw this one kid get blasted in the back of the head with an aluminum baseball bat... I was gone before that kid hit the ground... something a kid shouldn't have to deal with when they were only trying to go to school

Or as complicated as not having to worry about being lumped into the lowest example of your group just because you happen to share the same skin color

Agreed. And you can see any topic on privilege that comes from Whiteness on this forum is just an exercise of slamming your forehead into a wall repeatedly.

One of my favorite articles is titled Whiteness as Property by Cheryl Harris. She's a lawyer, and she writes about Whiteness, how it was created through law in colonial america, and how it has been reified over the years to become this amazing bank of privileges. It's worth a read.

My dissertation is a long way off, but it's basically going to be about my experiences as a white teacher in all black schools, and how my students taught me more than I taught them.
