Is there anyway i can use a three mobile broadband internet connection to use xboxLIVE?

i jsut want too know whether i can use a mobile broadband connection (USB) that plugs into my laptop with no router or modem and i wanna no if i can use that for xbox live in any way. thankss :) and yes i have an ethernet cord if that helps at all
