Nope. I'm 17 and I drive a Mustang. I've never been in a wreck but my insurance is twice as high as my parents. It's ridiculous but it's life. They are going to charge you more because you supposedly get reckless if you have a sports car. I don't know, it's stupid.
He can if he lives in Saskatchewan, Canada. A 17 year old driving a brand new Corvette pays the same as a 30 year old providing he/she does not run afoul of the highway code.
Needless to say, very few of them keep that rate for very long though.
