I'm an 18 yr old student who is back another year for high school. The following was on a friday.
I had an in-school suspension (for a stupid reason, skipping two classes...oh no!) and began playing my PSP. i was unaware i wasnt allowed, and he took it away. after confronting him at the end of the day, i asked if i could have it back, he said no, and that HE gives belongings back to students on fridays, or in this case, a complete week later. i said i was 18 and that i legally should get it back right away. he replies 'are you saying i dont know anything about the education act?' upon my reply, 'probably not'. few questions:
1. Is it the Education Act of Ontario? Or of Canada? just curious thats all
2. the big question: is he legally allowed to keep it for a week even over weekends, even if i am 18 and request it be given back to me the day it was taken?
If you could provide me with a specific subsection from the act regarding this, and a link to a copy of the education act, that would be great. thanks
