Not really, once the media player kicks in and updates you'd have to go right into the code or files to delete it and i dont think you know how to do that. Also just learn how to use the newer version, it was meant to be easier to use most of the time and better, so just take the time to learn how to use it. If you dont like it then try going to google and type in the version of media player you want and type "download" after it and enter.
