Is there anything I can do about my stolen purse with my car keys in it...?

Ten Minutes - is a pretty SMALL window...

It sounds like someone was LOOKING for you to do that... Perhaps a local DRUG ADDICT.

Ask the people who you were visiting ... about the USUAL SUSPECTS... and provide that information to the police.

A woman's PURSE is SACRED... it takes a special type of azz-wipe - to do that.

I know I've asked like a zillion questions about this, but bear with me, ok?

So I got my purse stolen yesterday and I had my license in it which has my address (obviously) I also had my house and car keys in the purse, so now that I thought about it, I'm kinda freaking out about someone breaking into my house or stealing my car.

I know that the house part is easy--change the locks. But what about the car? Is there anything I can do about that?
I left it in the car for like 10 minutes while I went in someone's house. :\

you best bet is to call the police and let them deal with it.. you can change locks for cars it will just cost a bit. and you may need to call your bank also since i know license cards has pretty much all your detail on it too.. just to be on the safe side.

just for the info how did your personal stuff get stolen?
usually you'd have them on you at all times , not left some where.

EDIT: you left car keys in the car? oh dear me .. im quite suprise that who ever took your stuff didnt take the car? just remember even if it is just like 1 second never leave your personal stuff unattended . but yeah call the police they can get it sorted and they can ind print marks and type of DNA from who ever took your stuff.

It is almost sounds like a rabbit trapped in hole with a lion lurking outside. There isn't much you can do about your car unless you ask the manufacturer to help but I doubt it is going to take a long time. Or if you can leave it in car with someone you trust.

Change the Locks
After making the appropriate reports, go to your car dealership or a dealership that specializes in the make and model of your car. Depending upon the model of your car and the dealership, you may be able to get new keys programmed to work for your car. If this is not an option, you will need to change your locks out entirely and get a set of keys for your new locks.

If you do not have an authorized dealership to take your car to, consider contacting a locksmith. A locksmith will change your door locks as well as your ignition locks.
