Living “happily ever after” obsesses most people, who may seek to fulfill this fairy-tale dream either by improving their life situation; others think it may be possible that optimism may have an effect on one’s happiness. It cannot be denied that a little optimism never did hurt, but in the end, what matters more is what happens in one’s life, not how he or she copes with it After all, in the fairytale, the princess is always is always slightly optimistic, but in the end, one wonders if that was what made her happy. Perhaps it is the new life she leads that makes her happy. In short, happiness does not depend on a person’s optimism or pessimism, but rather a person’s position in life.

Many people end up with tragic, or at the very least, sad circumstances when it’s not their fault at all. Being an optimist is not sufficient, when there's so much unhappiness in the world; it's too difficult to be an optimist. Many people think that optimism is the answer, when pessimism is human.
