Is there any way to contact you're favorite author?

I love reading, writing, pretty much anything to do with arts. I'd love to contact my favorite author(s) but i really don't know how. I have many, and a few of them actually live in the US. Would i send it through the publishing company? or what?
Please help :)
 
Yeah, definitely check the author's website if you want to contact them (by email or snail mail - the addresses are usually provided there). Just google the author's name, and their site should come up. Search around, and you'll almost certainly find it.
 
1. its "your" not "you're"
2. Of Course if your favorite author is alive. My is Jane Austen, so I got really slim chances of contacting her.
 
At the end or beginning of any book the authors email id is given. search the "about the author" "Authors note" "acknowledgements" pages or on the covers of your books. or they have a website, where you can post your blogs. i guess these are the only way to contact the author if you are a layman
