is there any state in the u.s. that is family oriented like the old days?

Hi live in a place where the ppl here are nasty and all the teenagers here are mean and addicted to technology ... i was just wondering are there any places in the U.S that are nice like in the movies where they have community pick nicks and stuff and all the kids are always playing together and not just always on technology???
