Is there any real way to keep cats off my garden (apart from shooting them

I'm not too sure how succesful it is and haven't tried it myself, but my nan takes old clear 2 litre bottles, fills them with water and this then acts as a mirror, so when the cat sees it's reflection it gets scared away! May be worth a shot!

This is gonna sound gross, but try urinating on your own lawn - essentially marking your own territory. It will keep most cats away. You'll need to do it fairly frequently and, at night is probably best!

This is not a joke. It worked, when nothing else did.

Don't know if it works or not but there is this stuff called Liquid Fence that works on rabbits and such. You do have to reapply it every so often.

Cats also dislike anything citrus smelling. Plant lemon balm, lemon mint, lemon thyme and so forth. Warning on the balm and the mints; they are invasive. Unless you want them everywhere, keep them in pots and bury the pots in the ground.
