As a lover of books, and an English grad I have a strong history of evaluating literature. But recently I'm wondering what is gained from this? What do we gain from ripping peoples creations apart, often after they are dead and can have no input? Why when the books can't be changed and obviously say what the author wanted do we scrutinise them? Are our comments of any value? If so, to whom? Are people ever affected by these reviews?
