This year I am planning to grow carrots, a few varieties of lettuce, cucumber, radish and green beans. Someone told me that I should use garden fleece to speed up the growth of crops and to minimise pests. I have never used it before but have had various 'bugs' eating my sweetcorn and brassicas in the past! Would the fleece be beneficial do you think? Any other tips for ensure healthy crops of the veg I am growing this year? I only have a small plot and am now just growing vegetables from March - September.
Is there any point in covering my vegetables with garden fleece?
