Is there any point debating with religious people?

Seriously after looking over the various questions being asked here im thinking its not helping anyone it only seems to re-enforce their religious views as they quote from the bible or assert that "god must be given a chance" a chance to do what?
If you are religious this is for you...if you feel offended when people question "your" god imagine how offensive it is when someone tells you there is this guy right and he controls you and everything you do and if you dont do what these guys said in a book about him then you are going to hell because you are a sinner because of his rules.
Kids are told santa doesnt exist at a certain age and i think the same should be applied for religion...let it teach them morality in school and let it then be revealed that they are just stories written in a book many years ago

These are scientifically proven facts...show me the god formula please show me the evidence and expriment that can be done to prove his existance.........didnt think so

hey if judgement day comes then ill throw my arms in the air and scream I BELIEVE...because that will be evidence wont it....im not one do deny something in the face of facts

have you ever seen apes in their natural habitat they operate a normal society with no "god" i am simply saying religion has shown one use..to teach morality..why dont we teach the kids some of the old testament...murder blatant disregard for human life fire and brimstone

santa is useful for getting kids to behave or they will get a lump of coal

god is your santa heaven is your gift and hell is your lump of coal
 
I am sharing the good news of Salvation in Christ to save people from eternal punishment out of love for others and Christ, you are moving out of pride and ignorance of truth
 
OK so lets just teach the kids that they are just animals. They are rearranged pond scum and therefore can make up their own rules. After all animals have no morality. it is all about who is the strongest , fast and who wants to survive the longest. There is no reason to care or worry about others after all they are all just rearranged pond scum just like you.

there are rules and laws everywhere.
there are standards too. do they offend you?

you dont know God or his ways....despite prob reading about it here. simply because you dont want to accept cause and effect and authority. But yet you do everyday to man and the world.
its your pride.
if you seek God with pure motives, he will reveal himself to you. No matter how much you deny it...He is your creator and Father. And his truth will stand the test of time.
