is there any membership I need to use this network?

I subscibed to imusicsearch and laid out 28 dollars to start with this network. Is this necessary? It appears I would do better to purchase the PRO version as this is a p2p network.

You don't even have to get the pro version.

There are different Gnutella Clients out there, some of them free.

You can get a list in the "How to get in" scetion of Gnutella For Users:

Umm ... but then again if you follow the links you'll find a no. of other people who 'also' purchased softw at imusicsearch. The link goes onto others also ... vicious circle.
