My son is thinking of going to college. He is 24 years old and has a new baby that is 17 days old. He wants to have a good like for his son. He is not working right now so we are paying his bills. I was just wondering if there were other programs out there other that finincial aid and pell grants that can help him with car repairs, rent, utilities? All feedback is great. Thanks, by the way we like in Kentucky

You can get loans and grants for education, but not for living expenses. And if he lives with you and your husband, your income will be counted against him as far as loans and grants. Tell him to contact the financial aid department of the college he is thinking of going to.

24 is the PERFECT age to go back to college..above poster is Wrong. 24 is the cut date and he will NOT have to put your income on Fafsa. If he is not working he should get a TON of free Grant money.
If you want extra money you can take out loans...but those are suppose to be for school.
Extra money could also be recieved through part time job?
